First Cybersecurity Control Centers Meeting

With the participation of several companies from the energy sector, the first meeting of control centers to discuss cybersecurity issues took place on December 12, 2018.

Among the topics discussed, there was a review of the cyberattacks suffered by the sector from 2010 to the present, starting with the Stuxnet event and reviewing the events of Black Energy and Industroyer that occurred in Ukraine. The Industrial Cybersecurity Center (CCI) also presented its activities.

With the participation of several companies from the energy sector, the second meeting of control centers to discuss cybersecurity issues was held on January 16, 2019, at the CAMMESA offices.

Among the topics discussed, the Kill Chain tactic and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) sources were analyzed.

A review of the regulatory framework panorama was also conducted, along with an analysis of controls and weaknesses in SCADA systems.

With broad participation from energy sector companies across the country, the third meeting of Cybersecurity Control Centers took place on March 28, 2019, at the SACME offices in Buenos Aires.

Among the topics discussed, a presentation was given on the cybersecurity policies implemented in the communication systems of electrical protections by Edenor.

Claudio Tana also presented about the industrial cybersecurity model of NeoSecure.

Finally, the first draft of the cybersecurity document, on which the Committee had begun working, was introduced. Companies attending the event were invited to participate in its development.
